Carroll Manor Softball

WELCOME TO THE CARROLL MANOR SOFTBALL PAGE!

CMRC Softball offers teams in both the Fall and Spring Seasons.  The levels of instruction are 8U, 10U, 12U, and 15U.  There is no travel team but post-season play in the Spring is offered by the FCGSL (Frederick County Girls Softball League).  All practices and home games are played at the softball field at Carroll Manor Elementary School in Adamstown.  The only exception is the 15U team, who will play at Tuscarora High School when needed.  The league strives to help players reach their full potential in skills, mindset, sportsmanship, and teamwork.

In the Fall Season, all games at all levels are on Sundays.  The season will begin on August 30, 2020.  There are no post season tournaments or all star games in the Fall.

Practices are generally held the same days of the week as game days, but any other additional practice days and times will be determined by the coaches.  Almost all practices will be held on the softball field at Carroll Manor Elementary School.

Frederick County Girls Softball League (FCGSL) uses a December 31, 2020 cut-off date.

This is COACH PITCH instructional softball that focuses on fun and sportsmanship.  Players will learn the fundamentals of batting, fielding, running, and the rules.  Standings are not kept and there is no post-season tournament, but there is usually an all-star tournament (spring only).  Volunteers are especially needed at this level since the home team has to provide the umpire, which can be anyone over the age of 16.

Head Coach:  TBD

10 & Under -  Age cut-off for 10 years old and under as of 12/31/20. Birthdates: 1/1/2010 or later.  This is the first level for GIRLS TO PITCH, but is combined with coach pitch.  At this level, the fundamentals are continued at more advanced levels.  Umpires hired by FCGSL run the games and standings are kept, with a post-season tournament and all-star game (spring only).
