We have a very easy fundraising opportunity for CMRC’s Park Development Fund.  A sibling of one of our CMRC Members has offered to donate $25, to CMRC, for every “Quick Home Energy Check-up”. 

Potomac Edison offers an Energy Efficiency Program where, in a 30-45 minute “Quick Energy Home Check-up”, a representative from Comfortable Home Energy Audits educates you and provides simple recommendations on how to make your home more energy efficient.  The representative will not walk around your house (if you don’t want him to).  There is no obligation to purchase any product.  Again, no pressure…no up sale.  “Quick Home Energy Check-ups” are funded through the EmPOWER Maryland surcharge on your Potomac Edison monthly electric bill.  

In the 30-45 minute visit, the following will happen:

1. You will receive at no additional charge; twelve (12) energy efficient light bulbs, a smart-strip surge protector, hot water heater pipe insulation, and up to two (2) low-flow shower heads.
2. You will be educated about available rebate programs and informed about available Energy Audits.
3. That is it!

If you look at this in its simplest form; 1) listen to the presentation, 2) receive the 12 energy efficient light bulbs & other products listed above and 3) CMRC will get $25 toward the Park Development Fund.  That is about as easy of a fundraiser as we can offer.  That is the equivalent of selling $75 worth of pizza kits, candy, etc.. With FULL CMRC Member participation, this program could generate $15,000 or more for our Park Development Fund. 

IMPORTANT NOTE:  You must mention CMRC/Carroll Manor when you sign up for us to get the donation.
